Here is a recent picture of the dogs on a hike/swim. This was taken in Paris Mountain State Park, Greenville, SC. The dogs had a great time. Ella proved her swimming abilities (finally). She can swim just like the rest of the pack. The last time she actually swam was in the Altantic Ocean, at the Outer Banks. She's just such a chicken with it comes to taking that first "step" out.

Child Birth Class/30 week photo
Joseph and I completed our 7-hour child birth class today. Joseph said it was a nice refresher. I personally liked watching how easy labor was once a woman received an epidural. I had mixed feelings about taking the class, due to reading a few books about labor and delivery and knowing Joseph has had delivered several babies. In the end, I am glad we took the class. We discussed both Cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries and watched several videos. Joseph insisted if he were giving birth, he would go all-natural. At this point, I have no problem with getting an epidural, however, I will try to go as long as possible without one. Cesarean sections seem much easier on the baby, but I'm hoping I won't have to go that route. Only time will tell!

Kings of Leon Concert
Joseph and I saw Kings of Leon perform in Charleston last night. I am not a fan of the band because it has too much electric guitar for me. However, the show was interesting and good. Joseph loved it. This was baby's 4 concert.
I felt like a total parent at the concert because some kids were smoking cigarettes near us inside the coliseum. First of all, I hate cigarette smoke. Second of all, didn't they read the "NO SMOKING signs? And lastly, how dare they smoke when there is a pregnant lady standing right near them. At least ask me if I mind if they smoke..... !!!!

28 week pregnancy photo/anniversary photo
The nicest present ever
Joseph gave me this children's book for our anniversary. It was the most thoughtful gift I've EVER received. The story is about a family going to the mountains to camp in a tent. The illustrations are great and the story describes all the sights and sounds a child will see in the mountains. It was THE MOST PERFECT GIFT!!! THANKS JOSEPH. He addressed the book to our upcoming child and all the dogs, in memory of Taylor (our/Joseph's Brittany who passed away).
1 year anniversary! We made it!

Joseph and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary yesterday. We were supposed to go camping with the dogs, but we stayed home instead. It was a great day. Joseph presented me with a few gifts, including ceramic "pig" salt & pepper shakers, a pig sun catcher/stained glass figurine, and a children's book (which deserves it's own entry). The two of us left the dogs home and got a quick bite to eat at Chicora Alley, downtown (Greenville), and watched an hour of live music, at Smiley's Acoustic Cafe. Joseph finished celebrating by practicing his guitar while I sat with the dogs and listened. Here is a picture of us from our first road trip together. We went to the Biltmore Estate, in Asheville, on October 2, 2005.
